Lifeskills Counseling Services provides services to families, individuals, couples, and groups from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We offer services to individuals with major psychiatric disorders, and to individuals who are facing emotional difficulties caused by life challenges or trauma. Our group of clinical social workers, and mental health counselors are dedicated professionals who use a variety of approaches to adapt to each client’s needs. We are proud of our professionalism, confidentiality, and high-quality care in a warm setting and inviting private practice.

Our mission, which began in 2014 in Sunnyside NY, is to provide the highest quality of behavioral health services in private practice, to empower individuals, families, and communities, and help them reach their fullest potential by accessing their own resources and building nurturing behaviors. We continue that mission by extending its services to a large community with offices located in Woodside and Ridgewood.  We participate in most major health plans, offer affordable services, and provide treatment to any person over the age of 4, regardless of race, cultural background, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs.

Our highly qualified professionals work closely with each client and family to address their individual needs. We help out clients identify their underlying core issues caused by unresolved traumatic events that have not been properly addressed, and develop coping skills to maximize their potential to function in all aspects of life. We help clients develop realistic goals to build consistent emotional stability and increase capacity to manage their stressors and adapt to changes.
